Good article! I may point my students at it, when they ask about how to read these. It seems to basic to me, that when one doesn't see these and "get" it, I'm a little thrown.
rhythm guitar.
Mentally learning the 10 letters of the guitar music reading alphabet:
a,e,i,o,u,d,b,p,t,s
makes learning rhythm guitar way, way easier than learning how to physically control 10 fingers to play guitar.
